Tai Chi in the Park

Tai Chi in the Park

Saturday mornings. Central Park. Free.

What: A standing weekly tai chi session for UWS parents. No experience, no gear, no fee. Show up in whatever you slept in. Instructor-led, 45 minutes, all levels — including the level where you've never done this and feel slightly ridiculous. That level is most of us.

When: Saturdays, 8:30–9:15 AM, starting mid-September. Rain cancels; we post by 7:30 AM.

Where: Central Park — enter at W 93rd & Central Park West, lawn just past the Wild West Playground. Look for the group of dads pretending they do this every week.

Who: Anyone. Parents, kids-in-strollers, the dog. Organized by UWS Dad, the neighborhood newsletter for Upper West Side parents.

Cost: Free. Genuinely. This is a neighborhood thing, not a funnel. (It's a little bit of a funnel.)

Get the Friday reminder each week plus the rain call by 7:30 AM Saturday:
